HEALTH & SAFETY
Your Child's Safety and Wellbeing is absolutely paramount to us at Inspire. We pride ourselves on ensuring that from the moment your child is dropped off to the moment they're collected, they are in safe hands. Your children are at the heart of everything we do, so we're excited to be able to get back to our face-to-face classes and bring that confidence-building fun, social interaction, joy, and laughter that we have so missed. We want to assure all Parents and Carers that we have worked hard as a team to make our workshops as safe as they possibly can be, for our children, staff, and customers. Yes, things will be a bit different for the foreseeable future, but you can be sure of this... your child will be greeted with the same warmth, excitement, and professionalism as they always have been, and the educational and social benefits, magic and wonder of our classes will very much remain.
To allow us to get back to our face-to-face classes safely, we have strict Health & Safety measures in place and all Inspire Teachers and Producers undergo rigorous and continual training to adhere to the latest guidelines. The following measures will be in place at every Inspire School. It is vital we all do our part as individuals to reduce transmission of COVID-19 and to keep our families and our communities safe. Please take the time to read through the following measures before arriving at any Inspire activity with your child. These precautions will be monitored as time goes on and amended if we see it necessary for the safe running of our workshops. If and when a change arises you will be notified and this Policy will be updated.

COVID-19 HEALTH AND SAFETY MEASURES
All Inspire Schools/Venues will have an individualised COVID-19 Risk Assessment. This is available to view here.
Drop Off/Pick Up
-
Socially distanced drop off & pick ups will take place safely outside the Inspire School and no parents will be admitted inside the building. Please arrive prompt for your child's class start/finish time and wait outside at a safe distance from others.
-
Please adhere to any signage that is outside/inside the venue, and park with care and consideration for socially distanced drop offs/picks up.
-
Parents/Carers of children under 7 will be asked for verbal confirmation at drop off if they are well enough to attend. Children 7 years and older will be asked for verbal confirmation that they themselves are well enough to attend.
-
Please only leave once you see that your child has been signed in and is safely in our care. We cannot assume responsibility for any child until they have been signed in by the class Producer.

Sign In/Sign Out and Payments

-
New electronic Sign In/Out procedure. This means there is no need to hand over pen/paper for first time Registration as this will all be done online in advance, thus reducing Parent/Teacher contact. Please bear with us as we get used to this new method.
-
All payments will now be taken online through our Class4Kids Booking Software. Payments must be made 3 days prior to your child's first session. This will remove the unnecessary risk of handling cash.
-
If you or the person booking has any trouble with the Class4Kids system please contact your Inspire Producer or the Inspire office.

Health & Hygiene

-
Hand sanitising stations will be at the main entrance to every Inspire School. All children will be asked to sanitise upon entry/exit.
-
Enhanced hygiene measures will be in place. Frequently touched surfaces will be wiped down after each group and the Studio will be ventilated for a period of 15 minutes in between classes. Both Teacher & Producer need to attend to this cleaning schedule so they will not be available to speak to in between classes. Please be mindful of this and their commitment to ensuring everything is safe for the next class. If you need to speak to your child's Producer, please contact them via phone/email.

Personal Belongings

-
All personal belongings must be kept with Parents/Carers. This includes coats, backpacks, school bags, and water bottles. This will minimise contact of personal items. The exception to this is medication such as inhaler bags. These must be clearly labelled and handed to your Producer at drop off.
-
If your child attends a Saturday class whereby they're allowed to bring a snack and water bottle, these will be wiped down before and after snack break, and children will be asked to wash hands (for 20 seconds) before and after eating. The same applies for Holiday Courses.

Workshop Modifications

-
Classes have been modified to limit physical contact e.g. no hand holding games/activities.
-
We are reducing our intake to enable us to allow more space and social distance. Scottish Government guidelines advise that Under 12s do not need to socially distance from one another or from adults. Nonetheless, we want to do everything we can to help minimise contact at this time. We may, at our discretion and in line with Government guidelines, choose to slowly increase numbers over a period of time back to full capacity.
-
Our 12-17s classes will be socially distanced and run on reduced numbers for the time being, ensuring participants can adhere to 2m distance where possible, 1m distance if the venue doesn't allow 2m, in line with Government guidelines for organised activity.
-
Our 12-17s classes will be low impact and no-contact, and mask-wearing will be mandatory on and around site (unless exempt) until a student is inside the venue and socially distanced from the others.

First Aid Provision

-
All Inspire Producers hold up to date Paediatric First Aid Training. In the case where First Aid needs to be administered, extra precautions will be in place and the Producer will wear PPE i.e. Face Mask, Gloves, and Apron.

Symptoms

-
If we suspect a case of COVID-19 during any of our activities, we will seek to safely and calmly isolate the child with the Producer/Teacher supervising at a safe distance, and immediate contact will be made with the Parent/Carer.
-
Parents/Carers will be reminded on a regular basis to not bring your child to any Inspire Activity if they are displaying any signs of COVID-19 i.e. a new continuous cough, fever, loss of, or change to, sense of smell or taste.
-
If you, anyone you live with, or anyone in your support bubble is displaying signs or symptoms of COVID-19, you must self-isolate for 10 days and book a test as soon as possible.
